Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters to us. This page explains, in plain terms, what information EVG Fine Check collects when you visit, why we collect it, and how we use it. We have tried to keep this readable rather than burying everything in legal jargon, but where legal language is necessary, we have kept it clear and accurate.
Take a few minutes to read through this before using the site. If anything is unclear, you are always welcome to reach out to us directly.
Who We Are
EVG Fine Check is a privately run, independent website based in the United Arab Emirates. Our purpose is to help people understand how to check and manage UAE traffic fines through official government channels.
We want to be upfront about one thing: we have no connection to any UAE government department. That includes the Ministry of the Interior, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the Federal Traffic Council, and any UAE police authority. We do not process payments, issue fines, or access any official government database. Everything on this site is informational.
What Terms We Use in This Policy
A few terms show up again and again throughout this site. So, for avoiding any confusion, here’s what each one really means:
- Personal Data: Any piece of info that points directly to a real person. Think of a name or email address. Nothing mysterious.
- Usage Data: The automatic stuff the site picks up in the background. Like which pages got visited or how long someone stuck around reading.
- Cookies: Tiny files that live on a device. Their job? Helping websites remember little things, like preferences or how someone usually browses.
- Service: Simply means this website and everything on it.
- We, Us, Our: That’s EVG Fine Check.
- You: Anyone who lands on the site and looks around. Simple as that.
Collection of Information
The Information We Collected from you
We only collect personal details if you want to share them with us. Like when you fill out the out the contact form, we receive your name and email address so we can reply to you. That is the extent of it. We will never ask for your Emirates ID, Traffic File Number, vehicle plate, or any other sensitive document.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours picks up certain technical details whenever someone visits. This is a conventional practice, and your identity remains anonymous. It includes things like the following:
- Your IP address, used only to understand which general region our visitors come from.
- Your browser type and version.
- The kind of device and operating system being used, like an iPhone on iOS 17 or a laptop running Windows.
- The type of pages users visit, the order they click through, and how long they remain on the page.
- How they get to know about our website: From another website, a search engine, or maybe a link a friend shared.
It helps us to know about what visitors actually find useful versus what gets ignored. That way, the site can get better over time, more of what actually helps.
Cookies and How We Use Them
We use cookies on this site. If you continue browsing after seeing our cookie notice, we take that as your agreement to cookies being used as described here.
The types of cookies we use
Session cookies: These are the cookies that only hang around while the browser is open. Just close that tab or window. They are gone.
Persistent cookies: These are the ones with staying power. They live on the device between visits, quietly remembering small things like the language someone prefers. That way, nobody has to set it all up again every single time. Just a small convenience thing.
Analytics cookies: We use Google Analytics to see how visitors interact with our content. The data is anonymized and aggregated; it tells us things like “this guide was viewed 300 times this week,” not who specifically viewed it.
Turning cookies off
You can get rid of these cookies by adjusting your settings at any time. Keep in mind that switching off certain cookies may affect how the site works. Most browsers have a help section that walks you through managing cookie preferences.
Advertising, Google AdSense
Running any site costs money. Servers have their cost, and maintenance takes time. To fulfill expenditures. This site uses Google AdSense to show advertisements. Advertising revenue covers the operational costs of running the site, which in turn allows all guides and informational content to remain freely accessible to users.
Google AdSense functions by presenting ads that are relevant to a user’s browsing history. To enable this functionality, Google employs cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie (also known as the DART cookie). This cookie permits Google to serve advertisements based on a user’s prior visits to this website as well as other websites across the internet.
No personal identifying information is sold or shared beyond what is standard for this advertising framework. The arrangement simply helps keep the site operational and free for everyone.
We want to be transparent about this because it directly affects your experience on our site. The ads you see here are personalized by Google, not by us.
How to opt out
You have a few options if you prefer not to see personalised ads:
- Visit Google’s Ads Settings page at adssettings.google.com to control what Google uses to personalise ads for you.
- Use the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool at optout.networkadvertising.org to opt out across multiple advertising networks at once.
- Know more about the DART cookie and want to learn how to disable it, then visit Google’s advertising policy page at policies. google.com/technologies/ads
For more details on how Google handles data from advertising partnerships, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
What the Collected Information Is Used For
None of the data gathered gets used for anything random or hidden. Everything serves clear purposes, all tied directly to keeping this site running and making it better:
- Delivering content: Basically, making sure the guides actually show up the way they should, no matter what device or browser someone happens to be using.
- Responding to messages: When a user reaches out with a question or concern, the details provided are only ever used to reply to that specific thing. Nothing else.
- Improving the site: Looking at how people move through the pages and what gets read and what gets skipped helps figure out what’s working and what needs fixing. That feedback loop keeps the site moving in a useful direction.
- Security: We keep an eye out for unusual or harmful activity to protect the site and its visitors.
- Serving ads: Anonymized usage data is shared with Google AdSense for the purpose of displaying relevant advertising.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell your personal data. Full stop. But there are a few limited situations where information may be shared with others:
Hosting and technical providers: Companies that help us keep the site running may have limited access to usage data. Outside service providers are only allowed to use personal data for the specific services they perform on behalf of this site.
Google AdSense: As described in Section 5, anonymized data is shared with Google for advertising purposes.
Legal requirements: If we receive a legitimate legal request from UAE authorities, we may be required to share certain information. We will not do so beyond what the law requires.
Business transfers: If EVG Fine Check is ever sold or restructured, user data may transfer as part of that process. We would notify users before this happens.
Data Retention Period
Information is not kept for longer than necessary. The following outline tells you about how long different types of data typically remain:
- Contact form submissions: Retained only for the duration needed to address the inquiry and any reasonable follow-up. After that, the data is deleted.
- Server logs, including IP address records, are cleared within approximately 90 days, unless we are actively investigating a security issue.
- Analytics data is kept in an anonymized, aggregated form and cannot be linked back to any individual.
If deletion of any personal data held by this site is requested, simply send an email to info@evgfinecheck.ae, and the matter will be taken care of promptly.
Your Rights Over Your Data
Depending on the country, there may be certain rights regarding any personal data held by this site, like
- A user can ask to see whatever data is stored about them.
- Correcting what’s wrong: Spot an error? Just ask, and it gets fixed.
- Asking for deletion
- The right to object to or restrict how we process your information.
UAE residents can exercise these rights under the applicable UAE data protection law. Visitors from EU member states retain rights under EU consumer protection and data protection legislation. To make any request, contact us at info@evgfinecheck.ae.
How We Protect Your Information
We use SSL encryption to protect data while it travels between your device and our server. We also take reasonable steps on our end to prevent unauthorized access to the information we store.
That said, no system connected to the internet is completely immune to risk. We work hard to keep things secure, but we cannot make a guarantee. Using this site means accepting that reality.
Children and Minors
This website is for users aged 18 and older, in line with our Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from people under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, please email us at info@evgfinecheck.ae straight away, and we will delete it promptly.
External Links
Some of our guides link to official UAE government websites, for example, the Ministry of Interior portal or Abu Dhabi Police. Those links are there to point you toward the right official sources. Those external sites aren’t run by EVG Fine Check, and there’s no control over what they do with content or how they handle privacy.
UAE Data Protection
We operate in compliance with applicable UAE federal data protection requirements. Users have the right to control how their personal information is used. Any request regarding that data will be responded to promptly and transparently.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy from time to time, for instance, if UAE regulations change or if we update the way our site works.
When that happens, we will update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make that clear on the site. Continuing to use EVG Fine Check after an update means you accept the revised policy. We recommend checking back occasionally.
